After there was criticism surrounding Jay-Z's Occupy Wall Street t-shirts (like above), the shirts have miraculously disappeared from Rocawear website.
Critics were mad because Jay and Rocawear didn't plan on giving a single cent from the t-shirts to the Occupyers themselves. So, who exactly would profit from the shirts? Millionaires like Jay-Z??
Grim, one of the leaders of the Occupy movement commented on matter, saying:
"Jay-Z, as talented as he is, has the political sensibility of a hood rat and is a scrotum. To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet."
Those are fightin' words there! Yikes!!
It seems that there was good intention behind the theme of the t-shirts, but, perhaps it wasn't fully thought out…
