Flo Rida to Pay $80,000 for No Show

Flo Rida has been ordered to cough up $80,000 to a concert promoter in Australia for mysteriously bailing on a 2011 show at the last minute.

Flo came under some serious fire when he failed to appear at the Fat as Butter music festival in Newscastle back in October. The event promoter claims he forked over more than $50k up front to guarantee Flo would appear ... but the rapper allegedly had a "hissy fit" moments before the show and refused to go on stage.

After the event, Flo went on Twitter and explained, "I was looking forward to performing for you but due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn't able to do so last night."

The promoter took his case to an Australian court -- which ruled in his favor ... and ordered Flo to shell out $80k in performance fees and damages.

Calls to Flo have not been returned.

Tupac Live At Coachella.... Well.. KInda

From Torontostar.com

One thing we learned from this weekend’s Coachella concert is that Tupac Shakur is alive. Or at least he can be. The only question is who is next?

The buzziest thing to project from the annual concerts in California is the holographic performance — currently going viral — of long dead Tupac Shakur with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on Sunday evening, that really needs to be seen to be believed.

Believed to be created a British company called Musion, who last made a splash doing five simultaneous performances in five cities with Mariah Carey in November, this incredible use of holographic technology could have ramifications in a great many fields across entertainment. The Star contacted Musion Friday but they refused to confirm their involvement.

Judging from the video, the holographic animation of Shakur had a 3D quality, and the best part is when the rapper throws down along with Snoop Dogg, in an obviously choreographed moment, but it looks very cool. Shakur joined in on performances of “Come With Me,” "Hail Mary" and “Gangsta Party.” He greeted the crowd with a “What up, Coachella!”

Commercials have used computer generated imagery to reanimate long dead celebrities, but this live performance could mean a windfall for the estates of deceased performers, particularly other musicians. For bands that have had members who have died, this technology could be used for reunion tours.

Diddy Says Get Out Goldilocks

FROM TMZ.COM

Diddy might wanna wash the bed sheets at his Hamptons mansion ... 'cause cops arrested a guy who allegedly broke into his place, slept in his bed and then ate a bunch of his food.

It all went down on April 1st -- but this was no joke -- cops say a caretaker found 30-year-old Quamine Taylor in an upstairs bedroom and called police.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Taylor told cops he snuck into the place through an unlocked basement door and proceeded to eat food, drink Diddy's soda and liquor and then got into a bed for nearly 24 hours.

Quamine was eventually arrested for trespassing ... and later told the NY Post he had been "going to the house from time to time since 2001 ... I stay there a lot, but Sean gets funny sometimes about me staying there."

Taylor's mom told the paper her son suffers from mental illness and recently went off his meds. He was arraigned on trespassing and petit-larceny charges and is currently still in custody.

J.K Rowling's New Book Has A Name!

J.K. Rowling has gone from casting spells to casting ... votes?

The famed author of the wildly successful Harry Potter series has finally revealed details, including the title, of herupcoming novel for adults, The Casual Vacancy.

The book, which is described as "blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising" by publisher Little, Brown, is about a parish council election in a small English town called Pagford.

"Pagfod is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war," reads a description of the book on the publisher's web site.
"Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils ... Pagford is not what it first seems."

The unexpected death of council member Barry Fairweather at an early age will send the town into the "biggest war the town has yet seen."

"Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?" the blurb continues.

Rowling fans will have to wait for answers until Sept. 27, when The Casual Vacancy – which clocks in at about 480 pages – will be release.

It's Official! J-Lo and Marc Anthony Sign It Off

Marc Anthony has officially filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

Marc filed the papers on April 9 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, nine months after the couple announced their surprising split.

In his filing, obtained by Access Hollywood and filed under his real name Marco Muniz, he cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

Marc has asked the court to deny any request from Jennifer for spousal support and is also asking for joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s 4-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

It was back in July 2011 that J.Lo and Marc announced they were calling it quits after seven years of marriage.

“We have decided to end our marriage,” the pair said in a joint statement to Access Hollywood at the time. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusions on all matters.

“It is a painful time for all involved,” the statement continued.

This marks the third divorce for Jennifer – who was previously married to dancer Cris Judd (2001-2002) and waiter Ojani Noa (1997-1998).

It is the second divorce for Marc, who was previously married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Tores from 2000 – 20002.

While their marriage is now officially over, their working relationship continues.

Marc & J.Lo will reunite to perform on-stage on May 26 in Las Vegas as part of their upcoming reality talent competition “Q’Viva! The Chosen,” for which they are executive producers.
