Tupac On Tour... Would You Go?

From people.com

Don't call it a comeback! Well, because Tupac Shakur is just a hologram. But despite being dead since 1996, Shakur, who was 25 at the time of his fatal shooting, appeared at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival alongside Snoop Dogg this weekend, and his holographic performance has become an Internet sensation. The impressive imagery was created by Digital Domain Media Group, Inc., which provided details to the Wall Street Journal on what's next for Tupac and the technology.
"This is just the beginning," Digital Domain's chief creative officer, Ed Ulbrich, told the Journal Monday. "[Dr.] Dre has a massive vision for this." Spokespersons for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have declined to comment, but Dr. Dre's production team first approached Digital Domain a year ago about creating a virtual Tupac. The team started focusing on the Coachella performance around four months ago, according to the newspaper. The months of creative and technical planning aside (WSJ details how Digital Domain created Tupac here), a stadium tour is feasible, or possibly smaller arenas, to bring in the talents of Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. The question is: With the initial wow factor gone, would people go see it again?
