Britney Spears is close to signing on as a judge on “The X Factor,” according to multiple reports.
A Hollywood Reporter source says the singer’s fiance and agent Jason Trawick is currently negotiating her contract.
The singer – who has is also reportedly undergoing media training – has not had the free forum that “The X Factor” would provide her in many years.
According to Deadline.com, the singer is being offered $10 million to join the FOX show.
Simon Cowell called into “The Billy Bush Show” last month, where he spoke “hypothetically” about the possibility of Britney joining the show.
“I’m fascinated by [Britney.] The fact that she’s one of the most talked about – not just pop stars – but people in the world today, means that you’ve got this star power,” Simon said at the time – stressing that he could neither confirm nor deny who he and the show’s producers have spoken with about joining.a
